In the fender big enough to put a fist through, and burned probably a quart of oil every couple of days! I originally saw her parked on the side of SR25 just outside Lafayette, and knew as soon as I saw it, that I had to have it! After quite a bit of body work, a re-vamped interior and a full engine rebuild, she was and still is a pleasure to drive.

Over the years I have had other various jobs, I managed a movie theatre just out of High School and was later employed as a computer network technician by my old school corporation. Along the way, I was employed by the Government for various consulting work, finished my BS in Nuclear Engineering, and also worked at a computer consulting company managing thousands of users on various computer networks across the U.S. The whole time, I continued doing what I loved, working on cars! Over those years, I drove not only the ’55, but an ’85 Porsche 944, ’69 Triumph Spitfire, ’95 Dodge neon race coupe, ’82 DeLorean, and a ’91 Ford Mustang. Some of which still reside in the Bennington Show Room.

When I decided I was burned out doing the “professional world BS” I started turning wrenches at a local automotive dealership/ performance shop. I figured it was a decent move, as over the 2 decades prior, I worked on friends vehicles all the time, usually for beer or a few $$. It was at this shop I discovered that turning wrenches is not only what I do well, but I enjoy doing it! I ended up leaving that job when my first daughter was born, and shortly after began my own commercial automotive restoration shop. Through the various communication channels used in the business I became a frequent user of several online BBS forums, and began offering my knowledge and services online. The shop started out as an auto-restoration house, but as it grew and developed Bennington Motorsports continued to branch out it’s professional services well beyond being just a resto-shop!

Today, Bennington Motorsports is a full service automotive shop that provides everything from basic automotive repairs to full restorations, from Air Conditioning service to engine rebuilds, machine work, and even the occasional body work! In 2009 BENMS signed on as a sponsor and trackside support provider to the NASA Midwest region 944-Spec race series. Through hard work and a welcoming community, we are now proud to be a certified NASA tech shop here in the Midwest region! Be it an Annual inspection, log book issuance, or a full on race car build, we are here to help any way we can. We will again be providing trackside support for the 2010 Midwest season, and look forward to an exciting and safe year!
